Optimization Model and Algorithm on Operation Scheme of Waiting Hall in Railway Passenger Station |

Abstract In order to improve operation efficiency of waiting hall of the
railway passenger station, characteristics of passenger waiting such
as passenger flow lines and distribution regularities of passenger
waiting time have been analyzed, and logarithmic normal distribution
function of waiting time was obtained. On that basis, a
multiple-objective optimization model of operation scheme of waiting
hall in railway passenger station have also been put forward based
on dynamic programming. Considering that characteristic of dynamic
programming model mentioned above without Markov property, and
algorithm is proposed based on progressive optimality algorithm,
then multi-phase optimal problem can be divided into a series of two
phase problems which can be solved with one by one. Finally, a case
study has been carried out taking Lanzhou station as an example in
order to testify validity, objectivity and applicability of this
model and its algorithm. The results show that this model and its
algorithm is efficient and reasonable, the maximum difference
between simulation passenger flow volume of each waiting hall and
actual waiting passenger flow volume is 296, and the minimum
difference is 131. Therefore, it can well reflect the laws of
development of things and can be of practical and effective value in
actual use of construction project.
