Abstract:Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer (CORDIC) algorithm has been widely used in the digital signal processing. For the shortcomings of low computing speed and high hardware consumption of the traditional CORDIC algorithms, a direct rotation CORDIC algorithm which just need to do one-way iteration was proposed in this paper. It reduced the memory capacity of the look-up table and also eliminated the scale-factor. Experimental results show that it has obvious improvements in phase error, output delay and hardware resource consumption in comparison with the traditional ones.
