Abstract:As a simple and effective way of image tampering, copy-move forgery
was often used as a preferred method to forgers. A new method for
detecting and localizing this type of malicious tampering is
presented in this paper. The method first extracts Harris corners as
the key points of the image, then extracts the binary feature
descriptors of these key points, and searches the most similarity
feature descriptor which satisfy a certain condition according to
the descriptors, finally localizes the tampered regions. The
experiment results show that the method can effectively detect this
type of tampering for images. Simultaneously, the matching time is
faster than these methods which descriptors' storage type is
floating-point, such as SIFT and SURF.
