Abstract:Image decomposition attracted much attention in recent years.
Inspired by the work of Meyer, numerical methods have been proposed
to carry out the decomposition of gray scale images. In this paper,
we present a new model for color image decomposition. We extend the
OSV (Osher-Sole-Vese) model from gray image to color image. We also
modify the model by using nonlinear diffusion regularization as
smooth term. To enhance the efficiency and reduce the complexity for
solving the energy equation, the Split Bregman method is introduced.
We compared our proposed method with the color TV (Total Variation)
model. Experiments show the proposed method is a valid method for
color image decomposition.
